One of the best parts about the Prohibition Brunch at the Bazxar restaurant, DIFC, is that it starts at 1pm and goes on until 4pm.
You don’t have to get up early nor do you worry about losing your entire morning. But what follows is a decadent dining experience. Aptly called the Prohibition Brunch, all the forces at this chic and urbane restaurant at the DIFC are at play to give you a memorable brunch. We were seated next to the bar counter. The seats weren’t entirely comfortable, but it gave you a good view into the buzz that’s generated every afternoon.
We began our meal with shrimp popcorn with ranch and chipotle dressing, roasted chicken pizza and burrata pizza. The popcorn and pizza was the perfect accompaniment to our flavoured drinks.
But the highlight of our meal was the grilled sea bass and the crispy chicken burger. Perfectly fresh, the fish was grilled beautifully. This was a brunch that dwelled on quality rather than copious amounts of food being doled out.
Care was taken at the detailing, presentation and taste. We rounded off our meal with a brownie and ice-cream. Every bite was worth the calories.
